Easy Hummingbird Cake (yum-yum)

A recipe from Linda for when you need supper in a hurry

Ingredients

Cake
3 bags Banana Nut Bread Muffin Mix (I usually use Martha White)
1 lge. can crushed pineapple (with liquid)
3 eggs
4 oz. Applesauce   or   3 Tblsp vegetable oil.  (Either will do, it helps to keep it moist - applesauce keeps down the fat)
 
Icing
1 can (store bought) Butter Cream or Cream Cheese Icing
Chopped Pecans

Procedure

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray a 13 x 9 pan.  Mix cake ingredients (do not use mixer
because of the nuts in the banana nut bread).  Pour into pan.  Bake for 40-45 minutes.
Cake can be served in the 13 x 9 pan if wanted. 
 
Cool the cake completely.  Put the icing on top and sprinkle with nuts.
