Hi Richard, I think I accidentally sent the first e-mail try before finishing it -unless I accidentally deleted it. Anyway, its gone here... so I'll try again. Steep 15min in hot water; 1 lb crystal malt, 1 cup chocolate malt Strain liquid into brewpot with 6.6lb unhopped dark extract, 1.5 oz Northern Brewer plugs, boil 1 hour. Turn off heat. Steep 2 oz hallertaur plugs for 30 min. Sparge to primary fermenter, when cool, pitch Safale dried ale yeast. This isn't super rich porter but is a very reliable and easy recipe -and always tastes great. Becky Ross (porter recipe)
